This privacy policy explains how MW Traffic Management Training & Planning (MW Training & Planning), part of MW Group, collects, uses and protects your personal information. MW Training & Planning is operated by Men at Work Canterbury Ltd (NZBN 9429041139226). We handle personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Information we collect

We only collect personal information that you choose to give us, mainly when you book a training course, request a Temporary Traffic Management Plan (TMP), or otherwise contact us. Depending on what you do, this can include:

  • Your name and preferred name
  • Your contact details, including email address and phone number
  • Your company or organisation
  • Booking and training details, such as the course you want, a purchase order number, your National Student Number (NSN) and any promo code
  • Any dietary requirements you give us for a course
  • The project details you provide when requesting a TMP
  • Anything else you include in a message to us

You do not have to give us this information, but if you do not, we may not be able to process your booking or request.

How we use your information

We use your personal information to:

  • respond to your enquiries and provide the information you ask for
  • process and confirm course bookings, and deliver the training
  • maintain training records and report unit standard results to NZQA, where your NSN is used for this
  • cater for dietary requirements at a course
  • provide traffic management planning services and prepare your TMP
  • send you updates, but only if you have opted in to our mailing list

We only use your information for the purpose you gave it to us, or for a directly related purpose.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it where it is needed to provide our services, including with:

  • other MW Group businesses, where they help deliver your service
  • NZQA, for training records and unit standard reporting

Storing and protecting your information

When you send us an enquiry or booking, it comes to us by email and is kept in our email system. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse or unauthorised access. We keep it only for as long as we need it to deal with your booking or request, and delete it when it is no longer needed.

Cookies and analytics

Our website does not use tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics on it. If this changes, we will update this policy.

Your privacy rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it if it is wrong. To make a request, contact us using the details below. If you are on our mailing list, you can unsubscribe at any time. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
